And I think that was, it taught me a really important lesson in retrospect, you know? And first off, I would rather jump out of an airplane than fly flying scares the hell outta me, but I jump out of, uh, you know, so I don't know if you knew this. concert in New York, Rzeznik performed a duet version of the song Iris with Canadian pop-punk singer Avril Lavigne. I, yeah. Um, and then there's people that are poison and those are the, those are the telephone numbers that you lose, you know, delete. I would be more nervous. So I knew that I could get out, but I had to keep exposing myself to that fear and that anxiety until it didn't affect me. More than 30 years since the Goo Goo Dolls released their debut album, Rzeznik holds hope music has the power to bring people together, no matter how dark the times.
